The main character and oldest child, James Scott, 20, study agriculture at SRUC Edinburgh. For him, happiness is farming, but he worries if he will be able to keep up the high standards his parents set, because the world is changing and Global warming is a very real issue.

To produce enough food to feed the growing population and take better care of the precious natural resources, he knows, that the future generation of farmers should work a lot smarter and adapt to new methods and technologies.
